Even last September didn't seem to move as quickly as this last one. In fact, I am pretty sure last September crept by. Kurt was just getting into the groove at school and I could hardly wait to finish my out of state cosmetology hours. Second year is demanding, but in a more rewarding way for Kurt. More lab work, a little less classroom. The classes challenge him more, but the material is more interesting. I feel settled at work, I enjoy my co-workers immensely, and my clients are nothing if not entertaining. And good conversation pieces. Like the lady who disappeared twice while I was coloring her hair. Once to go get two bags of chips from down the street and the second time to go get a Penn Station sandwich (keep in mind she had color on her hair). But it's okay because she really loves chips. In fact, if she had to pick between George Clooney or chips, she would pick chips every time. Yes, she really said that. Completely unprompted.
Mellwood Art Fair purchase. Our favorite girls visited Louisville.
